Uranus Fudge Factory—St. Robert, Missouri along historic Route 66

If you’ve driven Route 66 through Missouri, chances are you’ve seen the signs and done a double-take — “The Best Fudge Comes from Uranus.” You can’t miss it, and honestly, that’s the point. What started as a fudge factory has exploded into a full-blown roadside attraction — complete with a sideshow museum, candy shop, quirky gift store, and plenty of politically incorrect humor that keeps travelers laughing (and blushing) all the way to the counter.

But don’t let the jokes fool you — behind all the innuendo and neon personality lies some seriously good fudge. Rich, creamy, and handmade in-house, it’s earned a loyal following from travelers who came for the laughs and stayed for the flavor.

Uranus Fudge Factory was started in 2015 by Louie Keen. The idea was initially a joke- but it didn't take long for Mayor Louie to embrace the brilliance of the idea- and thus Uranus was born!

Mayor Louie had a vision for his new Uranus Fudge Factory on Route 66- and it was based on the unique and quirky things he and his family saw on road trips during his youth. Many others, especially Route 66 roadies and Mother Road enthusiasts, also have fond memories of adventures with their families while exploring America and the destination that Mayor Louie built resonates with those folks. Uranus Fudge Factory celebrated its 10th birthday this past July- and we already have people, who were 11 or 12 during their first visit with their parents, return with their own children. Exploring Uranus is now generational!

Our top priority is satisfaction in Uranus. Mayor Louie is zealous about making sure that the best fudge comes from Uranus.

You never know what Mayor Louie is going to cram into Uranus next- or where he will decide to open a new Uranus. He currently has two other locations, in addition to the OG store on Route 66 in Missouri. He opened his #2 in Anderson Indiana in April 2022 and his #3 location at Richmond, Indiana December 2024.
